Fun Ways to Stay Cool This Summer

We're just going to be honest right now; we're hot. Like, really hot, and it's not just because of our dashing good looks either. It seems like the temperatures unmercifully keep rising, the humidity is out of control, and sometimes you need to get creative to cool down.

If you're taking a trip to Florida this summer, there are a few things you need to know!

First thing you need to survive the 90°F+ weather here is wear appropriate clothing. Simply wearing your bathing suit around town is sometimes frowned upon, but we say do it anyway! Throw on a cover and then you're living like a true Floridian. Generally, you want to wear loose fitting and light colored clothing. See our style guide for some great tips, written by someone who actually knows what he's talking about! We promise - he's very stylish.

Freeze fruit like strawberries, blueberries and raspberries; it's delicious and easy! Put them in your water, or put fresh fruit in your ice tray and fill it with water to make ice cubes. Just throw those in your water to sweeten things up a bit if you're bored with the taste of plain water all day.

We know you've heard it before, but seriously, drink more cool water and drinks with electrolytes. If you're not sure how much water is fitting for you, a good rule is to drink half your body weight in ounces to stay completely hydrated. Also, avoid caffeine and alcohol as much as possible (sorry) as they are dehydrators!

When you're using your vape, if the vapor is too warm for your liking, try a water filter. Different vaporizers are able to be hooked up to water pieces such as the VapeXhale Cloud Evo, or the Magic-Flight Launch Box, using the UFO (Unnamed Filtration Object).

Go for a swim - it's great exercise as it works your entire body. If swimming laps isn't your thing, just jump in a pool, lake, ocean, whatever you have access to.

When all else fails, give up and just stay inside. Don't go out. Sit inside your room with the air conditioning on high and all the fans directed at you. You can't go wrong there!

Last but not least, don't forget your pup! Summer heat means that the pavement can get burning hot for little dog feet. Try this simple trick before taking Fido out for a walk during the day:

Hold the back of your hand on the pavement and see if you can keep it there for 5 seconds. If you can't, it's too hot to walk your dog. If you don't already, try and walk your dog early in the morning before the sun is too high, and after the sun has set.

Additionally, some dogs may like a swimming pool to splash around in and keep cool, and hey, you can jump in there with them! What could be more fun than that?
