VapeGaming: What's Hot in Video Games

July 2015 is shaping up to be one of the greatest years for gaming in recent memory. Between the premium title announcements from E3 last month, and the debut of exciting new technology, gamers have a lot to look forward to.

Here are the must-play titles from E3 this year.

Fallout 4

Publishers Bethesda launched the gaming community into a frenzy with the surprise announcement of one of the most anticipated gaming titles of all-time, Fallout 4. It's been over 5 years since the last installment in the series. During that time, there was no shortage of rumors and speculation. Luckily the wait looks to be paying off as previews of the game have garnered undisputed acclaim. Fallout 4 is scheduled for release on November 10th. We're definitely picking this one up.

Star Wars Battlefront

Is there anything more exciting than the sound of blasters firing as TIE-fighters screech overhead? That was the feeling publishers Dice captured when they debuted new gameplay video from Star Wars Battlefront. Despite the game showing a ton of promise, fans of the franchise were concerned to hear that there would be no space battles, a huge element of previous titles. We're still confident this will be one of the best multiplayer experiences of the year. Star Wars Battlefront should be out September 20th.

Minecraft HoloLens

Minecraft continues to be one of the most popular games ever since its humble release 6 years ago. That was confirmed when Microsoft acquired developer Mojang for $2.5 billion (that's billion with a B) just last year. The partnership looks to be bringing some fresh new content to the game with a special version of the title being released exclusively for Microsoft's HoloLens, the tech giant's unique take on virtual reality. In an E3 preview, we got to see demonstrators interact with a hologram game world appearing right before their eyes. Players used hand motions to pick up objects, place blocks, and interact with the game. We don't see ourselves getting a HoloLens anytime soon. Regardless, it's an incredible look at what the future of gaming might hold.

Other titles we're looking forward to include Star Fox Zero, Metal Gear Solid V, No Man's Sky, Halo 5, and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

With all these exciting new releases, we couldn't forget to take a moment to remember the recent passing of one of gaming's most important figures, Satoru Iwata. The Nintendo president was only the fourth person to hold the title since the company's founding in 1889. Under his presidency, Nintendo released 4 consoles and countless classic titles. He will be deeply missed by gamers everywhere.
